Garden of Infinite Compassion |
|
Sun Valley, Idaho
This garden was conceived of and built within a remarkable 8-week period to honor the visit by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Sun Valley, Idaho. It is the home of the Prayer Wheel, one of the most beautiful ever brought to the U.S., and the only one in the country turned by water. The landscape is carefully designed to allow hundreds of visitors to gather near the entrance in an aspen grove, but to enable only a few at a time to enter the garden itself, walk along the river, and to circumambulate the Prayer Wheel before re-emerging along the gravelled path. It is truly a sacred space for quiet contemplation of compassion for all beings.
